Flann played a starring role in a BBC TV news broadcast last month as part of a week-long series of features on successful business based in the South West of England.
Aptly titled ‘Under the Radar’, the series for BBC South West’s Spotlight evening news programme showcased five companies who have built successful long-term track records but largely done so outside the gaze of the media
Filming took place at Flann’s Bodmin headquarters where BBC Spotlight got an insight into the precision manufacturing and design process, and the people behind it, which has driven the success of the business.
The cameras also visited Goonhilly Earth Station in Cornwall (at one time the largest satellite earth station in the world) to explore the historic role played by Flann’s technology in the development of the iconic facility as well as seeing Flann equipment in use today as part of the satellite telemetry, tracking and control operations currently undertaken at Goonhilly.
As well as the BBC’s broadcast coverage we’ve also featured recently in local media articles in the Cornish Guardian and Business Cornwall magazine.
