We are pleased to announce an expansion of our existing flexible waveguide capability to WG00 (WR2300).
The image shows our precision fabricated flexible waveguide in WG00 (WR2300) (Aperture size 584.2 mm x 292.1 mm) 0.32-0.49 GHz that will, in the future, be utilised in the unique FAIR (Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research) particle accelerator facility at GSI, Darmstadt (Germany). Designed & manufactured in the UK, the flexible waveguide has been optimised for superior high power performance incorporating matched features between the flange transition & corrugations.
With delivery of this flexible waveguide, we also provided an installation jig to aid the customer fitting this into their system. The installation jig enables the flexible waveguide to be easily compressed to make up for any misalignment to connecting waveguide whilst also providing extra support to avoid any unwanted damage.
This is only one part of a suite of WG00 (WR2300) instruments delivered towards the same project, including calibration grade waveguide to co-ax adapters & terminations, and high power waveguide to co-ax adaptors and bends.
