Flann Microwave provides in-house microwave and millimeter-wave waveguide component calibration and verification service to 500 GHz. a service that is fully traceable according to ISO9001 and ISO10012 whilst being underpinned by Flann’s many years of knowledge and expertise.

Flann proudly supports a wide range of precision mechanical and microwave technical capabilities and as a result carries out a number of precision mechanical and microwave measurements. The majority of the mechanical measurements are undertaken by CMM and the capability covers tolerances in the range of +/- 0.013mm for WG6 or +/-0.0012mm for WM570 whilst microwave measurements are undertaken in Flann’s comprehensively equipped test lab equipped with VNAs from 50 MHz to 500 GHz:
- Aperture size in A and B
- Flange flatness of all flange faces
- Offset lengths
- Waveguide section lengths
- PF dowel hole diameter and true position to the aperture
- Aperture size at a plane offset to the flange face equal to that of the grade tolerance
- Internal waveguide corner radius
A test report and calibration certificate is issued once the service has been completed.
