Flann Microwave Ltd visited Mach 2018 to review new manufacturing technologies that could be implemented to increase capability and drive innovation through the company.

Citizen LEV BNA42 lathe. Sliding head with live tooling. The unique feature of this range is the LFV (low freq vibration) technology that lets you define the chip formation which in turn improves surface finish & tolerance. This is an active input to the tool that varies the cut as the part rotates. In practice the improvement of quality between this & a standard cut at the same setting was very apparent.
